Who we are
Asumbi Auto Spares sells and fits car side mirrors and power window parts from our shop in Roysambu, Nairobi, Kenya. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website, call us, WhatsApp us or buy from us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.
What we collect
- Contact details: your name, phone number and email address.
- Car details: make, model, year, chassis number and photos you send of the part or damage.
- Order details: what you bought, delivery area and directions, and how you paid. We don't store M-Pesa PINs or card numbers.
- Account details: if you create an account, your login email and a securely scrambled password.
- Technical data: basic information your browser sends (such as device type) and small cookies that keep your cart and login working.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and give you a quote.
- To confirm a part fits your car, process your order and arrange pick-up, fitting or delivery.
- To contact you about your order or repair by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email.
- To keep records we are required to keep, such as sales records for tax.
- To keep the website secure and working properly.
We only send you offers if you've asked us to, and you can stop them at any time.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We only share what's needed with:
- Riders and courier companies that deliver your parts (name, phone and delivery directions).
- Payment providers such as M-Pesa, when you pay through them.
- Service providers that host this website and our email, under confidentiality.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Cookies
This website uses a few essential cookies: one keeps your cart, one keeps you signed in, and one protects forms against misuse. We don't use advertising cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time; your cart will then be emptied.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to two years so we can help you again, and order and payment records for as long as Kenyan tax law requires. After that we delete or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete your data sooner where the law allows.
How we protect it
The website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, passwords are stored scrambled, and only our staff can open enquiries and orders. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps and act quickly if something goes wrong.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy.
- Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your data, or stop using it for a particular purpose.
- Stop sending you marketing messages.

Children
Our services are meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
